HOW TO BURN

It is important to understand candle care, not only to get the most out of your candle but to ensure you are using it safely.

To achieve a more even burn and to ensure you can enjoy your candle for longer, burn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time and trim the wick before every use.

Light the candle in a room with ventilation, away from potential drafts or fans – this can cause sooting and a rapid or uneven burn. Burning for over the recommended period of time can cause your candle wick to move or slant. Ensure you stop burning your candle when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom.

WICK CARE

Trim the wick to approximately 5mm once the wax has set to prevent the candle smoking, sooting or creating a high flame. Make sure you keep your wax pool clear of wick trimmings and debris. Once your wick has been extinguished, centre and straighten it for the next use.

STORING YOUR CANDLE

When your candle isn’t in use, store it in a cool dry place. Avoid dusty areas and avoid keeping it in warm temperatures to prevent melting.

REUSING YOUR JAR

When your candle has run out of wax, scrape out the remaining wax with a small spoon and wipe with a damp cloth until clean. You can use the remaining wax in an oil burner if you wish.

GENERAL CARE

Rapeseed and Coconut wax is super smooth therefore it is easy to wipe clean from around the jar should you need to. Never leave your lit candle unattended!
